Holey Sheet

Late last night, long past when I should have been asleep in preparation for today’s yard-sale-ing,* it seemed like a great time to start a little no-sew vintage sheet project I’d been thinking about.

Impulse control? Never heard of it.

I’ll be a vintage vendor at two outdoor events later this summer and I wanted to make something colorful to flutter gently in the mild summer breezes that will be blowing softly through my vintage-packed canopy tent.
(This post is actually a subliminal message for the weather gods. I hope they receive it so I don’t end up with something colorful and sopping wet flapping madly in the hurricane-force winds beating against my rain-soaked canopy).

And I wanted it to be fast and easy.

Like tying-knots-onto-string-easy.

And it was.
Have a wonderful weekend!

*Sadly, June-uary weather prevailed and rained out today’s yard sale plans.

  5. June-uary! That cracked me up and isn't it the truth. Can we get two days of summer weather in a row please??
Love the banner. I have a big pile of little strips left over from another project and ought to do something like that with them. I could use it to replace the prayer flags the squirrels stole from my pergola. They did make a pretty squirrel nest!

  6. Really sorry to hear you gave them the wrong message. It appears your weather came here and not there. 90 and muggy today 102 and hell on Sunday no less. Do another one please. Love this banner. Would look cute across curtain top too. Smiles...Renee

  7. Laughing at your post title.

Girlfriend, people are going to bee-line straight to your vintage packed, non-rain soaked canopy. That is seriously the cutest fluttery thing ever.

I think I'm going to start collecting vintage sheets so I can copy you.

It's deja vu all over again.
