Pile-up

The stacks continue to grow.

Things to sew become things to photograph which become things to list on etsy.

Hopefully they'll become things to pack and ship.

And I'm really looking forward to getting through this stack.

I subscribe to an embarrassing number of magazines although that number has dropped a bit with the demise of Domino, Country Home, Blueprint*, Mary E's Home Companion (that one really hurt, it was my favorite!) and now Gourmet. Happily, there are still those random, impulse magazine purchases that seem to make their way into my shopping cart.  I'm pretty sure that's why they're displayed at the cash register right next to my other nemesis, candy.

I've been hearing about this book quite a bit and recently purchased it on ebay - lots of favorite bloggers along with many new-to-me ones too.

I must have forgotten to eat or something because I signed up to sell at another holiday bazaar. Details forthcoming. Looks like there'll be some extra busy days ahead for me in my doily factory.

*A special thanks to  Domino's publishers for hitting the nail on the head when they replaced my Domino subscription with Glamour magazine. That always makes me laugh when it shows up in my mailbox.

  2. That picture of all the little stockings is so perfect. Have you ever seen someone take wads of money and throw it up in the air, and let it rain down on them? That's what I want to do with those adorable stockings!
I just discovered your blog several days ago, and I love it!
    Have a great weekend!

  3. Magazine junkie on this end too - and I still miss Home Companion - that is the one magazine out of all that I lost that I am still REALLY SAD about. I've got blogging for bliss on reserve at the library...my name should be coming up soon for it.

  5. Thank you for posting on my blog, you are a riot!! Your blog always makes me smile and most times laugh out loud. This is really bad when one has hot coffee in one's mouth. You might owe me a new keyboard...kidding...;o)

You know, I think blogs are the "new" magazines. Magazines are dropping like flies while blogs are everywhere, now. I love reading yours. - Kathy

  6. I was just thinking about how many Christmas issues of my favorite magazines I'd be doing without this year :( My Country Home subscription was replaced with Ladies' Home Journal - yikes! As if I wanted to feel 30 years older ....

  7. Thank you for visiting my blog, Becky is one of my all time favs and such a sweetie. I have bought from you a long time ago. I remember I found you via Becky. I LOVE your goodies. I have been collecting Christmas tablecloths for years now in hopes of turning them into pillows, stockings and totebags for my home. Unfortunatly I am not a good steamtress. Your blog really inspires me to give it a try. Lisa
